What it will cost, and what it will not.

One free region with real navigation, province packs bought once, and yearly plans for the modes that cost something to keep alive. No advertising in any of them.

The free tier is a full region with real turn-by-turn navigation, not a demo with a timer on it. If the app cannot get you to the cottage, the paid version has nothing to prove.

What “one full region” means

A whole province or state, downloaded once, with its map, its searchable names and its routing graph. Not a city. Not a trial.

Prince Edward Island is ready to download today; the rest of the list is being built.

Map packs

One-off, and yours

Questions

The four we expect

Why are maps a one-off purchase but modes a subscription?

A map you have downloaded works forever with no network, so renting it back to you would contradict the whole product. What genuinely costs money every year is rebuilding regions as OpenStreetMap changes underneath them, and the curated data behind the modes. That is what a subscription pays for.

Does a map keep working if I stop subscribing?

Yes, forever, offline. A region on your device keeps drawing, searching and routing whether or not anything is paid, and whether or not the phone has ever seen a network again. There is no licence check, no phone-home and nothing to expire.

Do you sell my data?

No, and there is nothing to sell. There is no account, no analytics and no advertising in the app, and your position never leaves the device. The app goes to the network for two things only: the list of regions, and the region file you ask for.

Can I buy any of this today?

No. There is no store listing and no payment system yet. These numbers are the plan, published early so that nobody is surprised by them later, and they may change before release.
